On 19-23 August 2019, the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) organized a VETLAB meeting with Directors of African & Asian Veterinary Laboratories. The VETLAB network assists countries in improving national lab capacities to detect & control transboundary animal & zoonotic diseases. ERFAN, as Pan African scientific Network, was invited to attend the meeting in Vienna to present the structure and the activities in various fileds. The Dr Massimo Scacchia presented the Network, on behalf of all ERFAN partners, Italian and African Veterinary Laboratories and Schools. A new cooperation framework, between VETLAB/IAEA and ERFAN, has been developed to clearly identify the priority areas.
